NBC JEEP® WORLD OF ADVENTURE SPORTS TRACKS THE EXTREME FROM THE GOLD RUSH TRAILS TO THE SHORES OF HAWAII
April 24 episode features unique sports including dog sledding, snowmobiling, bodysurfing, and snowboarding at the World Superpipe Championships
PORTLAND, Maine, March 23, 2005 NBC's Jeep® World of Adventure Sports (JWOAS), an action and adventure sports series, will air its next episode on Sunday, April 24 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Hosted by Pat Parnell of NBC Sports, the program will feature an exclusive athlete profile and breathtaking action sports events.
The next episode includes:
- Yukon Quest, an event appointed the "Toughest Sled Dog Race in the World".
Teams of one human musher and 14 dogs travel for two weeks covering 1000 miles
from the Yukon Territory to Alaska while enduring temperatures of 40 below,
and 100 mph winds.
- Red Bull Fuel + Fury, the most progressive freestyle snowmobile
competition hosted in the abandoned Pabst Brewery complex in downtown
Milwaukee. Riders push the boundaries of what is possible in this historic
compound filled with natural and man-made obstacles.

- 2005 World Superpipe Championships, an invitation-only halfpipe
competition for the world s best skiers and snowboarders. Olympic and Winter
X-Games champions will battle in Park City for a podium finish and a share of
the $90,000 purse.
- Skiers Chris Collins, Skogen Sprang, and Ryan Oakden snowmobiling into the
Beartooth Mountains in search of untouched ski terrain. The 10-day odyssey
leads the team to dangerous avalanche encounters, snowmobile breakdowns, and
backcountry cabins.
