NBC JEEP® WORLD OF ADVENTURE SPORTS® TESTS THE LAWS OF GRAVITY, TREKS TO AFRICA AND MORE IN THE JULY 26TH EPISODE

Episode features BMX world record attempts, kayaking, skateboarding and surfing

PORTLAND, Maine, July 23rd, 2008--Jeep® World of Adventure Sports® (JWOAS), an action and adventure sports series, will air on Saturday, July 26 at 3:30 p.m. ET/12:30 p.m. PT. Host Pat Parnell of NBC Sports travels to San Antonio, Texas to present the fifth episode of the 2008 season.

The next episode will feature:

  • The Red Bull Experiment; Kevin Robinson: On Thursday, June 12th 2008 in the heart of New York City, BMX legend Kevin Robinson attempted to soar into the world record books by clearing the height of a six story building on a BMX bike, in the next Red Bull Experiment. The excitement was palpable in Central Park as K-Rob hurled himself down a 60ft high roll-in and up the 27ft Super Quarter Pipe in his quest for BMX supremacy
  • Tony Hawk Boom Boom Huck Jam: Founded by action sports luminary Tony Hawk in 2003, the THBBHJ was a first of it's kind event featuring some of the world s best skateboarders, bmx and freestyle moto-x riders. Now in it s 5th year this massive event has become a tour. JWOAS joins Tony and his band of boarders and riders in Texas to witness some of the best action sports feats around.
  • African Expedition with Steve Fisher: Kayak legends and Red bull athletes Steve Fisher and Ben Brown journey to Zambia to conquer the infamous Zambezi, Kaombe, and Kalungwishi rivers. On the way they mingle with locals and also tackle some of the most spectacular waterfalls in the area dividing Zambia and Zimbabwe.
  • Teton Gravity Research; Hawaii: The TGR crew takes to the incomparable waves in the remote countryside of Oahu and study the local reaction to the threats of development. North Shore lifeguard Mark Cunningham and local Hawaiian surfers Pancho Sullivan, Jamie O'Brien, Ian Walsh, and others give in-depth commentary on life on the North Shore and the changes they face as irreversible changes threaten to engulf this remote stretch of coast.
