NBC JEEP® WORLD OF ADVENTURE SPORTS RACES TO ASPEN, BRITISH COLUMBIA, PARK CITY AND MORE IN THE OCTOBER 6TH EPISODE

October 6th episode features skydiving, adventure racing, backcountry skiing, and snowboarding

PORTLAND, Maine, October 5, 2007---Jeep® World of Adventure Sports (JWOAS), an action and adventure sports series, will air a special extended episode Saturday, October 6th  at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time.  Host Pat Parnell of NBC Sports travels to the World Skydiving Championships in Ottawa, Illinois to present the seventh episode of the season. 

The next episode will feature:

  • 24 Hour Triathlon: Watch as athletes of all abilities compete day and night to see how much distance they can cover in 24 hours. Solo competitors and relay teams will swim, bike and run their way to world records and personal bests.
  • National Skydiving Championships: Join Kenan Harkin and nearly 1,000 of the nation’s finest, fastest and most extreme aerial athletes as they take the plunge in one of the most thrilling and visually exciting aerial displays in the nation.
  • World Superpipe Championships: JWOAS heads to Park City – home of one of the country’s premier halfpipe competitions. The world’s top skiers and snowboarders, including Shaun White and Tanner Hall will battle it out to win a piece of the $90,000 purse. 
  • Teton Gravity Research: TGR heads to Aspen,  home of the X Games and an unreal team of park builders.  We will go behind the scenes with the athletes and the builders as they design, build and finally hit these monster jumps.  
  • Backcountry Bombshells: JWOAS catches up with ASA Skier of the Year Kristi Leskinen, World Extreme Skiing champion Andrea Binning, X Games standout Marie-France Roy and Swiss sweetheart Anne-Flore Marxer as they dominate the British Columbia backcountry, ramping up the level of women’s riding and having a lot of fun while they do it.
