Hosted by Pat Parnell of NBC Sports, the program features an array of outstanding action and adventure sports events.

  • TGR Skiers Micah Black, Dash Long and snowboarder Ashley Call on a mission to the Kashmir region of India. The crew set out for Gulmarg, an exotic ski destination nestled at the base of the Himalayan mountain range 12 kilometers from the border of Pakistan.
  • The Red Bull Supermoto-A-Go-Go, the grand finale of the 2005 AMA Supermoto Championship series. The race s unique street course is built along a four-block square in the heart of Reno s downtown casino district. AMA Supermoto Lites champion, Mark Burkhart dominated the show and amazed the crowd with his wild card appearance at the event.
  • Molokai Hoe, the Men s Outrigger Canoe Championship. Teams from around the world travel to Hawaii to compete in an intense 41-mile outrigger canoe race. Crews paddle from Molokai-to-Oahu, across one of the most challenging channels in the world. Paddlers endure physically and mentally as they navigate the crossing and fight fatigue.
  • The Amstel Light North American Freeskiing Championships at California s infamous Kirkwood Mountain Resort. The world s best big mountain freeskiers pit themselves against the mountain and each other, navigating the most difficult terrain, jumping huge cliffs, descending steep slopes, and threading tight chutes.
  • World Champion mountain biker Nathan Rennie s attempt to break the world record distance jump on a bicycle. Nathan tries to fly his mountain bike 150 feet over the breathtaking Australian Outback, smashing the old mark of 119 feet . In the isolated Painted Desert region, Rennie is whipped into a custom-made ramp by a motorbike at speeds in excess of 50 mph to break one of the most illusive bike records of all time.

The season finale of JWOAS will air on December 24 at 3:00 p.m. ET on NBC. The final 2005 episode will feature the Red Bull Air Race, an aerobatic flying competition combining elements of slalom skiing and auto racing. Show times are subject to change. Please check local listings.
