NBC JEEP® WORLD OF ADVENTURE SPORTS FOLLOWS THE ‘MAN WITH WINGS’
February 20 episode features a portrait of extreme skydiver Felix Baumgartner, an ice derby in Prague, Jeep King of the Mountain snow racing, and wild surfing in Hawaii
PORTLAND, Maine, February 10, 2005 NBC's Jeep® World of Adventure Sports (JWOAS), an action and adventure sports series, will air its next episode on Sunday, February 20 at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Hosted by Pat Parnell of NBC Sports, the program will feature an exclusive athlete profile and breathtaking action sports events.
The next episode includes:
- A profile of skydiver and BASE jumper Felix Baumgartner. Baumgartner
stunned the world with a parachute dive from the Christ Statue in Rio de
Janeiro and later achieved the impossible with a freefall from a transport
plane to fly across the English Channel. JWOAS follows Baumgartner as Red
Bull's 'Man with Wings' becomes the first to cross the strait between England
and France unaided.
- Red Bull Crashed Ice, a thrilling and wild downhill ice-cross race in the
historic city of Prague. The world's most fearless skaters race in full hockey
gear while battling through an unforgiving ice course riddled with berms,
sharp turns and jumps. Athletes whip down the course at speeds over 30 mph in

- Jeep King of the Mountain, a series of outstanding snow races featuring
some of the most spectacular resorts in the world. JWOAS broadcasts highlights
from the final event in Heavenly Lake Tahoe, Calif. The most elite skiers and
riders negotiate the event's unique Y-shaped racecourse to earn a spot on the
