NBC “JEEP WORLD OF ADVENTURE SPORTS” AIRS SECOND EPISODE MAY 22
Program Features Record-Breaking Kayak Waterfall Chute Descent, Raid Race Series, Fastest Round-the-World Sail
PORTLAND, Maine, May 4, 2004 –NBC Sports, the Jeep® brand and sports marketing firm Aura360 today announced that Jeep World of Adventure Sports, a new action-adventure sports series, will air its second episode on Saturday, May 22. Program segments include:
- Record-breaking 500-foot, 65-degree kayak waterfall chute descent by Tao Berman
- Steve Fossett and crew break the round-the-world record on the planet’s fastest sailboat
- Billabong XXL big surf competition with 70-foot waves
- Raid Adventure Race Series’ first stop in Morocco
Future episodes will include record-breaking first descent attempts, offshore power boating, globally acclaimed multi-sport traverses, off-road motor rallies and other adrenaline-inspired events and feats. Behind-the-scenes features on top athletes, global expeditions and the world of action-adventure sports will complement anchor events.
